How many contracts can I add?

You can add any number of contracts. However, make sure that the periods of the added contracts do not overlap (the end date of one contract cannot be the start date of another contract).

Automatic contract shortening mechanism

Since it is possible to add indefinite-term contracts, as mentioned in the section Types of contracts, offers a mechanism for automatic contract shortening.

This mechanism works as follows: if you have contract X added with an indefinite term, and then you add contract Y with a start date that falls within the period of contract X (but is not the same as the start date of contract X), the end date of contract X will automatically be set to the day before the start date of contract Y.

Example:
