What types of activities are there?

Basic activities

In the application, four basic types of driver activities are recorded, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 561/2006. These include:

driving - active operation of the vehicle,
work - performing other professional duties,
rest - break or rest time,
disposition - waiting / readiness without active work.

Additional information on activity

In addition to the basic activities, the system allows recording of additional information related to business trips, which is not automatically registered by the tachograph but is added manually or results from data analysis. These include:

accommodation - driver’s rest away from the company’s base while performing business duties,
national delegation - a business trip within the country, away from the driver’s permanent work location,
international delegation - a business trip carried out outside the country,
posting period - part of the route where the driver is in delegation status,
posting period not included - part of the route not covered by delegation rules (e.g., commuting to work, return to base, private segment).

Manual entry and modified activity

Additionally, the system distinguishes activities recorded by the tachograph from others:

manual entry - data manually entered by the user regarding driver activities not automatically registered by the tachograph (e.g., adding missing rest or driving),
modified activity - activity initially recorded automatically (e.g., by the tachograph) that was later changed or corrected by the user in the system (e.g., correction of working time or changing activity type).

Activity presentation

In the application, driver activities are presented:

in the form of time charts (more on this in the What are the different activities views? section) as colored markers on the timeline,
on the daily activity list.
